Our story
An airline that began as a conversation, was certified at the start of a pandemic, and adapted its way into charter and contract flying.
From an idea to an air operator
The idea began over an iMessage conversation in December 2017. Over time it grew into a full business development project, with airline certification preparations well under way. Mohahlaula Airlines was founded on 24 February 2020, when we received our initial ICAO Air Operator Certificate from the Lesotho Department of Civil Aviation.
Our story is unusual in that we were forged during one of the world's worst global pandemics. We had to be agile. We moved from a domestic scheduled service offering into a charter and contract service offering, and we kept flying.
Today Mohahlaula Airlines stands having carried more than 260 charter passengers, over 10 tonnes of cargo, and having used eight different aircraft types in our charter offering, with more available on request. We look forward to growing our service for you, the client.
